Okay okay okay, maybe it's not JUST that...;)

I've played the erhu since I was seven, and now I want to give the erhu its well-deserved spot on the global stage!

Why is the erhu called the "Chinese violin?"

Although the history of the erhu dates back to nearly a millennium before the invention of the violin, it turns out that the erhu just happens to sound a lot like a violin! Because of this, people often call the erhu the "Chinese violin" when describing it.

So...why do all of this?

People often call the erhu the "Chinese violin," and while this nickname can help get the point across, it also really shows how far the erhu has to go before it can hold its head up high as a unique instrument recognized for itself.

The erhu is a huge source of cultural love and pride for myself and many others, and I hope that you'll come along for the ride!

Regardless of your music tastes or preferences, I hope you're able to find at least one thing here that you like!

And ABOVE ALL ELSE, I hope that you are well, wherever you arešŸ¤—

P.S. You can holler at me here if you want to tell me something!
